Recovered Suspended Google Merchant Center Account & Approved 8,000+ Products After Misrepresentation Issue

The client’s Google Merchant Center account was severely impacted by a misrepresentation policy violation, which resulted in account suspension and the disapproval of nearly 8,000 products. This completely blocked their ability to run Google Shopping ads and caused a major loss of visibility and revenue. I started with a full audit of the account, product feeds, website content, and business information to identify the exact causes of the policy violation. The key issues included missing and non-compliant policy pages, inconsistent business details between the website and GMC, and product data that did not fully meet Google’s transparency and accuracy requirements. To resolve this, I created and implemented all required policy pages on the website (refund, return, shipping, privacy policy, and contact information) according to Google’s standards. I then corrected the business information inside Google Merchant Center, fixed feed attributes, removed misleading data, and ensured pricing, availability, and brand details were fully aligned with the website. After completing the fixes, I prepared a detailed compliance explanation and contacted Google Merchant Center support to request a manual account review. Following the review process, Google approved the corrections, removed the misrepresentation flag, reinstated the account, and approved the full product catalog. As a result, the client regained access to Google Shopping, restored visibility for over 8,000 products, and secured a stable, policy-compliant setup that supports long-term advertising growth without future suspension risk.
