I'm a professional drummer, music producer, and audio engineer based in Argentina. Drumming since 1996 and working in music production since 2007, I own La Marca Recording Studio. I've contributed to over 100 albums as a producer and audio engineer. What drum kit do you use for recording?
I record all drum tracks on a professional DW acoustic drum kit, carefully tuned for each song to achieve a powerful, natural, and musical sound suitable for professional productions. I offer a selection of premium snare drums, including a Ludwig Supraphonic 14" x 6.5", DW 14" x 8", and DW 14" x 5.
What microphones do you use to record drums?
I record drums with 17+ microphones: 2 Neumann TLM103, 2 Oktava Condenser MK012, 2 PBM condenser 414, 1 PBM condenser U87, 1 PBM Ribbon 121, 2 Sennheiser MD421, 1 Shure Beta 52, 1 Sennheiser e602, and 4 Shure SM57.
What preamps do you use for drum recording?
Drums are recorded through high-end analog preamps, including 2 Neve 511, 2 BAE 312B, 2 CAPI VP312, 2 DS Audio 312, plus 8 Focusrite and 4 RME preamps, ensuring depth, punch, and professional tone.
What cymbals do you use for recording?
I use professional Zildjian cymbals, including A Custom series 17", A custom projection 18", K Dark 18”, K Custom Ride 21”, New Beat Vintage Hi-Hats, and a Zildjian 14” stack, Stagg China 14" selected to match the style and dynamics of each song.
