FAQ
Can you analyze my PowerDMARC reports?
Yes. I can review PowerDMARC reporting data to identify authentication failures, sending sources, SPF/DKIM results and alignment problems
What does DMARC alignment mean?
DMARC requires the domain authenticated by SPF or DKIM to align appropriately with the domain visible in the From address. A message can therefore authenticate somewhere in the chain but still fail DMARC alignment
Can you fix the SPF 10 DNS lookup problem?
Yes. I can investigate excessive SPF lookups and determine which includes or nested mechanisms are causing the limit to be exceeded. PowerDMARC documents that SPF evaluation has a maximum of 10 DNS lookups
Can you identify unauthorized senders?
Yes. DMARC reports can show sending IP addresses and authentication results, which helps identify legitimate, misconfigured and potentially unauthorized sending sources
Can you move my DMARC policy to quarantine or reject?
Yes, when appropriate. I will first review legitimate sending sources and authentication before recommending stronger enforcement. I will not blindly move a domain to p=reject
Can you fix SPF, DKIM and DMARC DNS records?
Yes. Standard and Premium packages can include applicable DNS corrections, authentication alignment and post-change validation
