Michelle B

Senior Squarespace Website Designer & Developer

Feb 2023 - Present • 3 yrs 8 mos

I design, develop, and customize Squarespace websites for businesses, personal brands, coaches, wellness professionals, creatives, and service-based businesses. I handle projects from initial page structure and visual direction through Squarespace development, responsive design, content organization, testing, and launch. My work includes custom Squarespace website design, website redesign, Fluid Engine layouts, mobile optimization, custom CSS, navigation, forms, animations, basic on-page SEO, third-party integrations, and e-commerce website setup. For online stores, I build and customize Squarespace e-commerce websites with product pages, categories, product variants, pricing, checkout settings, shipping and payment configurations, and layouts designed to make browsing and purchasing straightforward. I also create landing pages and conversion-focused sections that guide visitors toward booking, purchasing, or getting in touch. I work closely with each client's brand, audience, and goals to create websites that are visually polished but also practical and easy to manage. Rather than forcing businesses into generic templates, I customize the design, layout, functionality, and user experience to create a professional Squarespace website that feels unique to the brand and works smoothly across desktop and mobile.

Domain & Website Setup Specialist

Jul 2021 - Dec 2022 • 1 yr 5 mos

I helped businesses set up and connect their domains to Squarespace and handled the technical steps required to get websites live correctly. This included domain connection, DNS configuration, domain verification, SSL setup, URL redirects, domain transfers, and troubleshooting connection issues between domain providers and Squarespace. I also assisted with Squarespace website launches, email/domain-related setup, site settings, and migration preparation. My role required careful attention to DNS records and Squarespace configuration to ensure websites were accessible, secure, and properly connected without unnecessary downtime or loss of existing website settings.

Squarespace Website Redesign & Troubleshooting Specialist

Jan 2020 - Nov 2021 • 1 yr 10 mos

I worked on Squarespace website redesigns, fixing existing website issues and improving sites that were outdated, difficult to navigate, or not performing as expected. I redesigned pages and layouts, corrected mobile responsiveness issues, fixed broken sections and styling problems, and used custom CSS when Squarespace's built-in settings were not enough. I also worked on CRM integrations and connected websites with third-party tools to improve lead capture, forms, automation, and customer management. My work involved diagnosing website problems, implementing practical fixes, testing across devices, and making sure redesigned websites remained functional, user-friendly, and aligned with the client's brand.
