My Hermes Agent install keeps failing can you fix it?
Yes. Most failures are caused by Python version errors, sudo conflicts, disk space issues from node_modules, or a broken PATH. I diagnose the exact cause and fix it completely.
My Telegram bot accepts messages but never replies. What's wrong?
This is almost always a webhook issue. Hermes requires HTTPS, a valid SSL certificate, correct DNS, and a properly configured reverse proxy (nginx or Caddy). When any one of these is missing, the bot fails silently with no error message.
Does Hermes Agent work on Windows?
Not natively. Hermes Agent requires Linux. For Windows users, I set up WSL2 first and then complete the full Hermes installation inside it everything works the same way.
I keep getting API authentication errors. What causes this?
Usually it's an OpenAI key being used with OpenRouter (or vice versa), conflicting entries in ~/.hermes/.env, or a wrong model identifier string. I audit your config and fix the exact mismatch.
Can you migrate my OpenClaw setup to Hermes Agent safely?
Yes. I back up your data first, run hermes claw migrate correctly, verify your memory and conversation history transferred, and confirm the new Hermes instance is fully working before closing the job.
Why is my Hermes Agent memory not updating during a session?
