I will brainstorm your business idea or business plan

Brainstorming, also called ideation, is a creativity technique used to find a solution to a specific problem. The goal is to generate as many ideas as possible, as quickly as possible—the bigger and crazier, the better—and then to select the most likely to succeed and refine them. Ask "What if...?"

Each session will be 50 minutes (or 90 minutes if you choose), and you'll be able to see the clock during the call, so you know how much time we have left. I allow a few minutes at the beginning of the session to settle in, and a minute at the end to wrap up, but we won't waste time with chit-chat.

To prepare for our brainstorming session, I'll need to know your business idea (always kept confidential!), what you've tried before, which strategies succeeded and which did not. Also please send links to your website if you have one, and to the websites of key competitors.

Usually there is one major roadblock to starting a business: (1) you have a great idea but no expertise; (2) you know what you're doing, but not how to promote it; (3) your vision is bigger than your budget and you don't know where to start; or (4) you're tangled up in regulations. Start there!

Yes! I am set up to record the session but occasionally the technology fails, so it's always a good idea to take notes. BUT...rather than writing down every idea, note the ones that give you butterflies in your stomach! Those are what you'll end up doing, or they're clues to the ultimate solution.

Not at all. A business plan includes business type and tax status, mission statement, detailed product and/or service descriptions, broad goals and objectives, specific tactics and resources for reaching your goals, budgets, financial forecasts, timelines, executive profiles, and more.

Then this is not the gig for you. In our brainstorm, the ideas will be flying too fast for you to write them all down, and your own ideas will flow better knowing that you can watch the video or listen to the audio again later to remember everything. NOTE: CAMERA OFF MODE IS OKAY!

The transcript is a Word document in English that you can print and save for future reference. It contains our entire conversation. The transcript is ideal if English is not your first language because you can copy and paste it into a translation app. Also good if you want physical (+digital) files.
