Usually, what information is required to perform a bookkeeping job?
I need a bank, credit card, PayPal, Stripe statements along with all sales and purchase data. Requirements vary from client to client depending upon the nature and workflow of business, but in most of cases above mentioned documents are required.
How do you categorize expenses and Income without knowing my workflow and business?
I use bank/credit card/PayPal statements description for analyzing the nature of the transaction. But I don’t rely wholly solely on description and QuickBooks artificial intelligence. After doing my all work in excel. I fix a call at a convenient time with the client to confirm all transactions.
Why do you ask for QuickBooks, xero, wave access before an order placement?
I make myself sure that the client’s books are ready for the work the client is asking for. If I found discrepancies in the books which need to be rectified before I start my job. I point out those to the client. If the client agrees to rectify them. Then I move forward.
How do I give you access to my QuickBooks Online/Xero/Wave?
Login into your QuickBooks Online account. On the right top, click the "Gear icon (cogwheel) -> Manage Users -> Accounting Firms -> Invite". I will give you my email address for inviting me to your QBO account.
