The truth is no one nabs all the little mistakes in a book, especially the author (trust me, I've been there, too), which is why it's good to have a fresh pair of eyes to show you where you missed an article, or misspelled a word, or perhaps used the wrong one.

And if your book is already in a print-ready format, you'll want to have someone double check that all the page numbers are correct, that your ISBN hasn't been put in wrong, and that everything's lined up the way you want it before it actually prints.

After all, there's nothing worse than opening that brand new spine, breathing in the scent of fresh, clean paper...and finding a glaring error on page three.
