Informazioni su questo servizio
Moving a live website to a new server without breaking anything is where most migrations go wrong. Emails stop delivering, DNS takes 48 hours to propagate, SSL certificates expire mid-switch, and the old server is decommissioned before anyone notices the database didn't migrate cleanly. I do this for a living, and I do it in the right order.
What you get:
- Full backup of your current server before anything is touched
- Files, databases, emails, DNS records, and SSL certificates migrated intact
- Cloudflare integration and Full Strict SSL configuration
- Fail2ban, firewall rules, and basic hardening on the new server
- Staging test on the new IP before DNS cutover, so you approve the switch
- 7 days of post-migration support for anything that surfaces later
Compatible control panels: cPanel/WHM, HestiaCP, Plesk, DirectAdmin, or bare Linux (Ubuntu, AlmaLinux, Debian). Works with any VPS provider Contabo, DigitalOcean, Hetzner, Vultr, Linode, AWS Lightsail, OVH.Based in Melbourne, Australia. Master of Computing (RMIT). 10+ years with production Linux servers. Recently completed a 16-vCPU Contabo migration with HestiaCP and Cloudflare, zero downtime.

FAQ
Will my website be down during the migration?
No. I migrate to the new server first, test it on a staging IP, and only switch DNS after you confirm it works. Cutover downtime is typically zero to a few minutes. If your TTL is high, I lower it a day before migration to make the switch faster.
What if something goes wrong? Do you back up my data first?
Yes. Full backup is the first step — files, databases, emails, and DNS records stored independently before I touch the new server. If anything surfaces during or after migration, I can restore from that backup. Your original server stays untouched until you confirm the new one works.
Will my emails keep working after the migration?
Yes. Mailboxes, forwarders, auto-responders, filters, and messages all migrate intact. I update MX, SPF, and DKIM records for the new server and test inbound and outbound delivery before handover. External email (Google Workspace, M365, Zoho) stays untouched — only MX is verified.
Can you migrate between different control panels, like cPanel to HestiaCP?
Yes. I migrate between cPanel, WHM, HestiaCP, Plesk, DirectAdmin, CyberPanel, aaPanel, or bare Linux. The process differs per pairing — cPanel to HestiaCP requires manual account and database reconstruction rather than a direct restore — but the end result is the same.
Do you handle WordPress sites specifically? What about WooCommerce?
Yes, these are the most common migrations I do. All posts, media, users, orders, customers, plugins, themes, and settings are preserved. For WooCommerce, I verify payment gateways, tax rules, and shipping zones, then re-test checkout on staging before DNS cutover.
What happens to my SSL certificate during the migration?
I install a fresh Let's Encrypt certificate as part of setup. Commercial SSL (DigiCert, Sectigo, wildcard) is re-installed using your existing key and cert files. I also configure Cloudflare Full Strict mode to prevent SSL downtime or mixed-content issues.
Which VPS providers do you work with?
Any provider with root SSH access. Hands-on experience with Contabo, DigitalOcean, Hetzner, Vultr, Linode, AWS Lightsail, EC2, OVH, and Alibaba Cloud. Still choosing a VPS? I can recommend one based on your traffic, geography, and budget before you commit.
Do you secure the new server, or just migrate the files?
Standard and Premium include hardening: Fail2ban for SSH, firewall (UFW or CSF), SSH key auth, disabled root password, and kernel updates. Premium adds Cloudflare integration, backup configuration, and performance tuning. Basic is migration only, no hardening.
What time zone are you in and how fast do you respond?
Melbourne, Australia (UTC+10/+11). Response time under 2 hours in business hours, under 6 hours overnight. I work with clients in Europe, North America, and Asia — time zone overlap often means your migration runs overnight for you, so you wake up to a working server.
What's not included in these packages?
Not included: malware removal (available as extra), ongoing monthly server management, major OS upgrades (e.g. CentOS 7 to AlmaLinux 9), custom application development, and cPanel license purchase — get your own from a reseller. Message me for custom quotes on any of these.
