I hired Nia as a beta reader. While she did fulfil that role and provide helpful suggestions to improve my writing, the area where she really shines is in sensitivity reading. I've written a whole rainbow of characters in terms of their cultural / racial diversity, but Nia helped me pinpoint areas where that wasn't being conveyed to full effect.
