Conducted research in Computer Vision and Deep Learning as part of my M.Tech thesis. Designed and developed an underwater object detection system using a modified YOLO architecture with Ghost Convolution and SequenceOut. Collected, cleaned, and annotated large-scale underwater image datasets for model training and evaluation. Trained, fine-tuned, and optimized deep learning models using PyTorch, OpenCV, and Ultralytics YOLO. Evaluated model performance using metrics such as mAP, Precision, Recall, and F1-Score. Performed extensive experimentation, hyperparameter tuning, and comparative analysis across multiple model architectures.
