Beta reading focuses on the reader’s experience, not grammar correction. I read your novel or manuscript as your target audience would and provide detailed feedback on pacing, characters, emotional impact, clarity, and overall story flow. Unlike copy editing or proofreading, beta reading highlights

You will receive a detailed, personalized feedback letter focusing on pacing, character development, plot holes, and emotional impact. I also provide in-line comments throughout your manuscript so you can see my real-time reader reactions. I do not use AI or robotic checklists, you get 100% human

Yes! If you are a German author (or from any other background) who has translated your book into English, I can be a massive help. I will read your manuscript to ensure the dialogue, cultural nuances, and pacing feel completely natural and engaging for a native English-speaking audience.
Will your feedback be overly critical or harsh?
Never. My goal as your beta reader is to help your book succeed, not to tear it down. I provide sensitive, constructive feedback. While I will always be honest about plot holes or pacing issues, I also highlight what you did wonderfully and offer actionable suggestions on how to fix the weaker spots
What file formats do you accept for the manuscript?
I prefer Microsoft Word (.doc / .docx) or Google Docs, as these allow me to easily leave those real-time, in-line reader reactions as I go. If you only have a PDF or another format, please send me a quick message first so we can work it out!
