Do I need a Stripe account before we start?
Yes. You need a Stripe account (free to create at stripe.com) with test mode enabled. I will guide you through Products and Webhooks setup if you have not configured them before.
Will this work with my existing codebase?
In most cases yes. Send me your stack (frontend framework, backend, database) and a link to your repo or a short description before ordering. If something does not fit, I will tell you upfront instead of taking the order.
Do you handle the Stripe Dashboard setup or just the code?
Both. I configure Products, Prices, Customer Portal and Webhooks in your Stripe Dashboard, and I write the code that connects to them. You get a working system end to end, not just code snippets.
What is usage-based billing and do I need it?
It is billing based on what the customer actually uses: API calls, credits, messages, executions. If you sell a flat monthly plan, you do not need it. If your product charges per unit of usage, Premium tier covers this.
Do you deploy to production or only test mode?
Delivery is in Stripe test mode with a clear switch to production. I can assist with going live as part of the Post-launch support extra, or walk you through the steps in a Loom video for free.
What if Stripe webhooks break after delivery?
Webhook handling is covered by revisions if it was part of the scope. For issues that come up after the revision window, the Post-launch support extra covers 7 days of fixes for webhook and billing edge cases.
