If there were a way to surpass the talented, it would be through obsession. My current obsession is becoming a good editor. When I don’t know something, I’ll easily spend hours brute-forcing it until I figure it out, then refine it until it’s good enough. I am both self-taught and formally trained. This combination gives me the flexibility and the ‘smooth is fast, fast is smooth’ efficiency to finish my projects.
