Deployed OpenClaw an open-source autonomous AI assistant on a Linux server (Ubuntu, systemd) for a client who needed it running 24/7. The gateway service was stuck in a continuous restart loop caused by stale PID and socket files conflicting on startup. Diagnosed the issue from system logs, rewrote the systemd unit file with a proper ExecStartPre cleanup step, re-enabled the service, and confirmed stable operation. Delivered a reliable, always-on OpenClaw instance integrated with the client's WhatsApp.
