1. Traffic Engineering & Analysis Undertake traffic impact assessments, traffic studies, and transportation assessments for development and infrastructure projects. Analyse existing and future traffic conditions, including traffic volumes, turning movements, capacity, delays, queues, and level of service. Carry out intersection and corridor capacity analysis and identify operational constraints. Develop and assess traffic circulation and access arrangements for major developments. Review traffic generation, trip distribution, modal split, and future-year traffic forecasts. Assess queuing requirements and vehicle storage at intersections, access points, tolling/access-control facilities, parking facilities, and security checkpoints. Recommend improvements to optimize traffic flow, capacity, and safety. 2. Junction & Roadway Design Review and develop layouts for signalized and unsignalized intersections, roundabouts, ramps, merge/diverge areas, and access roads. Review lane configurations, turning radii, channelization, medians, islands, pedestrian crossings, and traffic circulation. Provide technical input on road geometry and access arrangements. Review roadway and intersection designs for operational efficiency and safety. Coordinate traffic requirements with highway, civil, structural, and infrastructure design teams. 3. Traffic Modelling & Software Develop, review, and interpret traffic models and simulation outputs. Use appropriate traffic analysis and simulation software for intersection, corridor, and network analysis. Typical software may include PTV Vissim, Synchro, SIDRA, Aimsun, VISUM, or equivalent platforms. Prepare traffic modelling assumptions, scenarios, calibration, validation, and sensitivity analyses. Interpret modelling results and translate them into practical engineering recommendations. 4. Traffic Management & Access Control Develop traffic management strategies for construction, events, major developments, and operational facilities.
