Professional Background I am an Economic Statistical Officer at the Fiji Bureau of Statistics, Economic Statistics Division, where I have worked since 2019. My core specialty is Balance of Payments compilation under IMF BPM6, applying residency, sectorisation and instrument classification principles. I also manage the quarterly Non-Profit Institutions Survey, covering data collection, validation and aggregation of cross-border transactions. I compile economic indicators in the Establishment Survey Unit, supply national accounts data to government and external stakeholders, and write statistical reports and briefings for management. Earlier Experience From 2015 to 2018 I worked across several Bureau divisions on census coordination, well-being surveys and employment data analysis, collaborating with ministries to streamline data processing. In 2011 I provided technical support for reporting and data management with the RFMF Engineers Regiment. Achievements I received the 2024 Special Award for Leadership from the Fiji Bureau of Statistics, Certificates of Appreciation (2019, 2020, 2024) and a Certificate of Achievement from the Economic Statistics Division (2020). I have represented the Bureau at national and international workshops, meetings and seminars. Skills and Education I am proficient in survey design, data validation, financial statement analysis and R programming. I am a certified trainer (Train the Trainer, Stages 1 to 3). I am completing a Bachelor of Applied Social Science at Fiji National University, with a pathway towards a PhD in Social Policy, alongside professional certificates in macroeconomics, finance fundamentals, accounting systems and IMF Government Finance Statistics. What I Offer Clients Accurate, well-documented statistical work: clean datasets, rigorous classification, clear reporting and dependable delivery on recurring cycles.
