Never worked with an editor before? Here's what the process looks like!
The typical editing journey goes like this: Self-editing → Beta reading → More revisions/self-edits → Developmental editing → Line editing → Copy editing → Proofreading → Publishing. I specialize in two of these stages: Developmental Editing and Beta Reading!
Do you provide other editing services?
No, I exclusively work on the big picture issues covered under developmental editing and beta reading. I leave the brave task of hunting down typos, grammar slips, and spelling errors to the fearless copy/line editors and proofreaders.
Do you edit genres other than romance?
No, I work solely with romance, but anything that falls under its wide umbrella is wholeheartedly welcome! I read and edit all romance subgenres and tropes—including dual-genre works like romantic suspense, romantic horror, and more.
Will you change my writing style or rewrite my story?
Not at all. I’ll offer clear, actionable feedback while respecting your unique voice and creative choices. My goal is to help you strengthen what’s already there—not rewrite it.
Do you accept explicit or mature content?
Yes! I’m comfortable with all heat levels (gore too!) and approach every project with professionalism and respect. So don't hesitate to reach out if your book contains some "questionable" content. Trust me, I've read it all :)
How long will it take?
Turnaround time depends on your book’s word count, complexity, and my current schedule. We can discuss it during our pre-edit chat.
What if I disagree with your feedback?
That’s completely okay—editing is a collaborative process. My job is to show you how a reader might experience your story and offer tools to make your vision stronger. You always have the final say.
What if my book has a large word count?
That’s no problem! I’ve worked on books exceeding 350,000 words, so length isn’t an issue. Just contact me for a custom quote.
Do you work on unfinished books?
It’s best to complete your first draft before booking a developmental edit. If your manuscript isn’t finished, I recommend a beta read instead—either by me or your trusted beta reader.
Are you willing to sign an NDA?
Absolutely! I’m more than happy to sign one. Even if you don’t have an NDA prepared, please know that confidentiality is always guaranteed.
