I worked on designing and setting up a Shopify store for a client who was transitioning into selling digital products like planners and journals. The project wasn’t just about design, it involved rethinking how the store should function for digital products. I took an existing theme and adapted it to fit a completely different kind of offering, making sure the structure, flow, and overall experience felt clear and easy to navigate. I handled the process end-to-end, including: • Designing the store layout and visual direction • Setting up digital products, collections, and listings • Creating product images and writing supporting copy • Integrating membership plans and relevant apps • Setting up welcome emails and basic customer flow One thing I focused on throughout was clarity, making sure customers immediately understand what’s being offered and how to move forward. Overall, I approached the project not just as setting up a store, but as building a simple, intentional experience that supports both the client’s goals and the customer’s journey.

Storyboard Designer

I worked as a storyboard designer, where my role was to take scripts and turn them into clear visual sequences that the rest of the team could actually build on. My background is mainly in web design, so I naturally think a lot about layout, hierarchy, and guiding attention. That translated really well into storyboarding, where each frame isn’t just a visual, it’s part of a flow that needs to make sense from start to finish. One thing I focused on a lot was making the process easier for the next person in the pipeline. Since storyboards sit right before animation and editing, clarity and timing really matter. I tried to structure my frames in a way that made it easy for motion designers and editors to move forward without second-guessing anything. I also had the chance to work on storyboard concepts for YouTube-style content, where maintaining a consistent visual style and clear pacing was important. I worked as a freelance print and editorial designer from 2019 to 2024, creating a wide range of designs across both personal and client projects. My work included planners, journals, books, cookbooks, covers, and different types of stationery, from everyday layouts to more detailed event-based designs like invitations and cards. A big part of my process was thinking about how someone would actually use what I was designing. Whether it was a planner or a book, the goal wasn’t just to make it look good, but to make it feel clear, structured, and easy to interact with. Over time, I developed a strong sense of layout, spacing, and typography, especially in longer formats where consistency and readability really matter. I also handled projects end-to-end, from initial concept and layout design to preparing files for print, making sure everything was clean, organized, and ready for production. Overall, this experience shaped the way I approach design today, with a focus on clarity, usability, and thoughtful structure rather than just visuals.
