Worked remotely as a Django Backend Developer Intern at Developers Hub Corporation, contributing to a production-grade eCommerce backend system built with Python and Django. Took ownership of core backend modules including product management, order processing, cart functionality, and user-facing forms - implementing Django models, views, and class-based views following industry best practices. Developed and structured backend logic for the complete product and order flow - from listing and filtering products to managing order creation, status updates, and stock validation. Improved data handling across the application by refactoring existing code for better readability, performance, and long-term maintainability. Designed and integrated secure user authentication workflows, applying permissions and access control to ensure only authorised users could perform sensitive operations. Worked with Django ORM to write efficient database queries and manage relational data using PostgreSQL, ensuring data integrity across the system. Collaborated remotely in a professional team environment, following structured development workflows using Git and GitHub for version control and code collaboration. Participated in code reviews and applied feedback to improve code quality and consistency across the project codebase. This internship significantly strengthened my ability to write clean, scalable, and production-ready backend code beyond academic projects - giving me direct exposure to professional software development standards, team communication, agile workflows, and deployment on cloud platforms such as Railway and Render.
