NOA'S HERD • Part time
Oct 2025 - Present • 11 mos
AI and Computer Vision Developer – NOA’s Herd Solutions Ltd I work with NOA’s Herd Solutions Ltd as a technology developer responsible for designing, developing, integrating, testing, and delivering an AI-powered livestock computer-vision system. My work focuses on developing technology that uses cameras, artificial intelligence, and edge-computing hardware to collect and analyse livestock information and communicate useful results to the NOA’S HERD technology platform. My main responsibility is the development of computer-vision and AI models for livestock monitoring. This includes developing and integrating models that can process live camera images and video, detect and count livestock, perform basic tracking where required, and generate agreed livestock observations, measurements, or classifications. The initial development focuses primarily on cattle, while also supporting poultry and allowing the system architecture to be extended to other livestock species in the future. I also work on optimising AI models so that they can run efficiently on selected edge-computing hardware. Rather than relying entirely on remote servers, the system is designed to perform AI processing locally on the edge device. This requires configuring the hardware and software environment so that camera input can be processed efficiently and reliably in livestock environments. Another important part of my role is the development and configuration of the edge-computing and camera system. I help select and configure suitable cameras and computing platforms, as well as storage, connectivity, power, and other peripherals required for field deployment. I implement the software responsible for receiving camera input, preprocessing images, running AI inference, performing post-processing and tracking, generating outputs, and buffering data when necessary. I am also responsible for integrating the AI system with the NOA’S HERD software platform.

Dojo Hub • Part time
Feb 2025 - Present • 1 yr 7 mos
Electronics & Machine Learning Engineer – Dojo Hub I work at Dojo Hub (SMC) Ltd as an Electronics and Machine Learning Engineer, where I contribute to the design, development, prototyping, and deployment of intelligent technology systems. My role combines electronics engineering, embedded systems, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and hardware-software integration. I work on turning technology concepts and research ideas into functional prototypes and practical engineering solutions that can be tested and eventually deployed in real-world environments. Electronics & Embedded Systems One of my main responsibilities is designing and developing electronic and embedded systems. This involves working with microcontrollers, sensors, cameras, computing devices, communication interfaces, and other electronic components to build systems that can interact with the physical world. I develop and configure embedded systems so that hardware can collect information, process it, communicate with other systems, and perform automated functions. This connects Dojo Hub's physical hardware capabilities with its software and artificial-intelligence technologies. My work can involve programming and integrating embedded platforms, configuring electronic components, testing hardware, troubleshooting technical problems, and ensuring that hardware and software operate together reliably. Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence I also work on the development and implementation of machine-learning and AI models, This includes developing computer-vision and machine-learning solutions that allow machines to interpret data and make useful observations or predictions. Depending on the project, this can involve preparing data, developing or integrating models, testing their performance, optimising them, and deploying them into practical applications.
