Medical Billing Specialist | Care Cloud January 2023 – December 2024 I worked as a Medical Billing Specialist at Care Cloud from January 2023 to December 2024, where I gained hands-on experience in medical billing, insurance claims, accounts receivable, and revenue cycle management. My role involved managing the complete billing process while maintaining accuracy and timely follow-up on outstanding accounts. My responsibilities included patient eligibility and insurance verification, charge entry, claim creation and submission, payment posting, and reviewing insurance payments and EOBs/ERAs. I regularly monitored claim status and followed up with insurance companies on unpaid, pending, and underpaid claims to help reduce outstanding balances and improve collections. I also handled rejected and denied claims by identifying the reason for rejection or denial, making necessary corrections, and resubmitting claims for payment. I worked with AR aging reports to prioritize outstanding accounts and performed regular insurance follow-ups to resolve billing issues. When required, I contacted insurance representatives to verify claim status, benefits, payment details, and denial information. In addition to insurance billing, I assisted with patient balances, account updates, and maintaining accurate billing records. I paid close attention to claim details, patient information, insurance policies, CPT and ICD-10 codes, and other billing requirements to minimize errors and avoid unnecessary claim delays. Working with Care Cloud helped me develop a strong understanding of the medical billing and revenue cycle process. I became comfortable working with large volumes of claims and accounts while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of accuracy.
