I’ve spent more than 20 years as a professional actor and 15 years behind a microphone, so my working life has been a little varied. I’ve played spiffy gentlemen in the West End, wrestled dinosaurs, fought Superman, narrated serious documentaries and somehow become the voice of Mr Tickle. I enjoy the variety of voice work. One day I might be recording a serious documentary or corporate film, the next a commercial, character or something much more playful. I like finding the right voice for the job and making sure the script sounds natural, clear and engaging rather than simply read aloud. I trained at ArtsEd in London and work in both Southern English British and native Australian voiceover. I’ve also spent more than 10 years as a voice and accent coach, teaching actors and professionals how to use their voices with more freedom, clarity and confidence. That mix of acting, voiceover and coaching means I bring a good ear, plenty of experience and a genuine interest in how people sound and communicate. I record every job myself from my broadcast quality studio in the UK and work with clients around the world.
