My role involves offering practical and emotional support, encouraging independence, confidence and personal development, and providing a stable, caring and respectful environment. Over the years, this work has developed my skills in active listening, communication, empathy, problem-solving and understanding individual needs. I work closely with professionals and support networks while maintaining confidentiality, dignity and appropriate boundaries. This experience has given me a deep appreciation of the importance of listening without judgement and treating every person as an individual.
