Hello and welcome to our book editing gig.
We provide professional developmental editing for authors. Under this gig, we analyse your manuscript's big-picture elements: plot, structure, character development, pacing, and argument flow (for non-fiction). Our goal is to help you strengthen your story or narrative before line editing.
This service is for completed, self-edited drafts. We provide detailed feedback reports and in-manuscript comments. As a UK company with Fiverr's Choice status, we bring a team-based, expert approach.
We offer three levels of service:
- Summary Edit: Perfect for a high-level overview. Includes a detailed report and light comments.
- In-Depth Edit (Recommended): For detailed feedback. Includes an extensive report, heavy comments, and post-delivery Q&A.
- Comprehensive Edit + Calls: The full white-glove service. Includes everything in the In-Depth package plus strategic pre- and post-editing calls. Perfect for authors who want the highest level of collaboration and strategic guidance. The calls are a valuable bonus, not a burdensome requirement.

What is developmental editing?
Developmental editing focuses on the "big picture" of your book: plot, structure, character development, pacing, and (for non-fiction) the strength of your argument and narrative flow. It comes before copyediting and proofreading.
Do you edit both fiction and non-fiction?
Yes. Our team has experience across genres. For fiction, we focus on story elements. For non-fiction, we focus on argument, structure, clarity, and narrative flow. Please message us with your specific genre.
Is this a proofreading or grammar-checking service?
No. Your manuscript should be as polished as you can make it before sending it for developmental editing. We need to focus on the story and structure, not basic errors.
How does the process work? Do I need to message first?
We strongly recommend messaging us with your word count, genre, and a brief summary. This allows us to confirm we are the right fit and give you an accurate price quote before you order.
What do you deliver?
You will receive two documents: 1) A detailed editorial report (length varies by package), and 2) Your manuscript with feedback and comments in Tracked Changes.
