Hi, I am Tom, a professional, based in Sheffield. I have been working in structural engineering for over eight years with projects varying from domestic / residential, commerical / retail, education, industrial and healthcare.
My services are categorized as:
Building Control Calculations / Building Regulations Packages
Structural designs in accordance with building regulations, to Eurocode or British Standard (as requested).
Structural Calculations
I will produce structural calculation reports with designs for all key elements. Sketches, details and mark-ups on architectural drawings will be provided to assist the build.

Designs in accordance with the latest standards (Eurocodes / British Standards / NHBC) or any standards the client wishes to follow.
Note, I can also offer complete structural services for larger projects on request. If this is beyond my personal capacity, I can make introductions to other engineering consultants.

Can you provide drawings?
Yes, I can provide drawings and details as required. To keep costs at a minimum for all parties, sketches and markups are more common on architectural drawings.
Will you discuss the project with the builder?
Yes, I am happy engage with the builder / contractor and if required review the design / scheme to suit, if alternative methods are prefered (given it is in accordance with building regulations and safe).
Will you undertake site visits?
On request - yes. Certainly useful for more complex schemes. Based in Sheffield, so costs are to be considered..
