FAQ
How long does a website migration typically take?
Migration time varies depending on your website’s size and complexity. Smaller sites can take a few hours, while larger or more complex sites may require 1-3 days. I’ll provide an estimated timeline after reviewing your site.
Will my website experience downtime during the migration?
I aim for zero downtime by carefully planning DNS changes and data transfer. However, minimal propagation time (up to 24-48 hours) might occur depending on your DNS provider.
What platforms do you support for website migration?
I support popular CMS platforms like WordPress, Joomla, and Drupal, as well as website builders like Shopify, Wix, and Squarespace, with customized migration solutions for each.
Can you migrate my website if I don’t have access to the old hosting account?
Access to your old hosting or website files is essential to transfer your site. If you don’t have credentials, please contact your current provider or webmaster to obtain them. Alternatively, you can reach out to me and I'll be happy to help.
Will my SEO rankings be affected after migration?
I follow best practices to preserve your SEO during migration, including maintaining URL structures, redirects, and metadata. However, minor fluctuations may occur temporarily after migration.
Do you offer support after the migration is complete?
Yes! I provide post-migration support to ensure your website runs smoothly on the new host and can assist with any issues that arise.
What if my website uses custom plugins or themes?
I handle the migration of all files, including custom plugins and themes, ensuring they are properly transferred and functional on the new hosting. Send me a message first
How do I provide you with my login credentials safely?
You can share your credentials securely via encrypted messages or trusted file-sharing services. If you have concerns, we can discuss the safest method for you.
Can you help with domain registration or DNS management?
Absolutely! I can assist with domain setup, DNS configuration, and pointing your domain to the new hosting environment.
