Why you prefer to have the code shared and opensourced on Drupal.org?
Because I believe that FOSS (Free Open Source Software), is the best way to contribute to the development of a CMS, and software in general. If your module is out there, anyone can grab it and improve it. Even when you're not using it anymore.
Why such a wide variety of prices for your module development?
Because each module is a world apart, you can do very simple things that require few hundreds of lines of code, to thousands, or tens of thousands. And as I am not omniscient, I need research on things that are new to me, that translates into more effort to develop a module.
