What access do you get to my AWS account?
Strictly read-only. You run a CloudFormation stack that creates one IAM role I can assume to read cost and usage data. I have no ability to create, modify, or delete anything.
Do I have to share my password or access keys?
No — never. There are no credentials or secrets to hand over. The role uses AWS's own secure cross-account trust (STS) with a unique external ID, so access works without exposing any key.
What exactly does the CloudFormation stack create?
A single IAM role attached to AWS-managed ReadOnlyAccess and SecurityAudit policies. Both are view-only. It creates nothing else and changes none of your existing resources.
How long does setup take?
Usually a few minutes. You deploy one stack (I send the template and instructions), paste back your account ID, and I handle the rest.
What happens when the engagement ends? Can I remove access?
Yes, anytime. Delete the CloudFormation stack and the role is gone instantly — my access ends immediately, with no leftover permissions.
What do I need to provide before you start?
Your 12-digit AWS account ID, confirmation you can deploy a CloudFormation stack, and which report types you want.
Will this change or slow down my infrastructure?
