During my three years as a Senior Insolvency Accountant at Sims Partners, I managed a wide range of corporate and personal insolvency matters, including voluntary administrations, liquidations, bankruptcies, and restructuring engagements. This role required a high level of analytical precision, investigative thinking, and the ability to communicate complex financial and legal issues with absolute clarity. A major part of my work involved preparing ASIC‑compliant statutory reports, including RATA analyses, director misconduct assessments, and detailed investigative summaries under the Corporations Act. I regularly produced creditor reports, solvency reviews, asset recovery assessments, and narrative‑driven findings that needed to be both technically accurate and easily understood by stakeholders with varying levels of financial literacy. I was responsible for conducting deep‑dive investigations into company failures — analysing financial statements, tracing transactions, identifying potential breaches, and presenting findings in structured, evidence‑based written reports.
