Kendryk Youngblood is a Christian Nigerian-American poet who is based in Houston, Texas. As of 2026, his YouTube channel "Youngblood Poetry" has over 26,000 subscribers and over 3 million total views, a platform he uses to post videos of original poems, poetry lessons, poet interviews, and reactions to spoken word poetry and hip-hop. He is a Poet Life brand ambassador and a former member of the University of Houston's Poetry Slam team, UH Coogslam, which won 4th place nationally in the Collegiate Union Poetry Slam Invitational (CUPSI) in April 2019. Kendryk’s written work has been published in the University of Houston's Shards magazine, Defunkt magazine, Poet's Choice, and Welter at the University of Baltimore. He is the author of the self-published poetry collection “The Spoken Word Bible: Poems Inspired by Scripture to Encourage Faith and Worship. He is also a former poetry editor for the Houston-based literary journal Space City Underground Magazine. He currently hosts The Mosaic, an artist showcase that showcases a diverse lineup of poets, singers, rappers, painters, instrumentalists, and more to glorify God, uplift the masses, and inspire creativity in the hearts and minds of audiences. Kendryk serves as one of several ministry leaders for the Houston-based Christian creative organization Urban Hymnal.
