FAQ
What genres do you work with?
I work in almost any genre, with a primary focus on Hip-Hop, R&B, Indie, Folk, Rock, and more. I usually avoid aggressive genres like metal or hardcore — though I’m open to exceptions for the right project.
For which platforms can you do mastering?
I can provide mastering services suitable for most digital platforms or specifically for a particular platform, as well as for CDs, TV and radio for a specific region.
Can you handle the mastering for vinyl or cassettes?
I don’t do mastering for analog formats like vinyl or cassettes, because each manufacturer may have different requirements and software, but I can prepare a file for subsequent mastering tailored to a specific manufacturer.
In what format should I send the stems?
The best way is to send WAV or AIFF files, 48kHz or 96kHz, 24-bit or 32-bit without any processing. For streaming platforms 44kHz 16-bit in WAV or AIFF formats is enough.
What DAW do you use? Can I send in a project?
I mainly use Nuendo, but I can also work in Pro Tools, Ableton Live and Reaper. Unfortunately, like most sound engineers, I do not accept projects for mastering. You need to render and send me the mixed song or stems from the project.
Do you use analog gear?
I do mastering in-the-box, which means I use a DAW with digital emulations of analog gear plugins that sound just like the real analog gear, which has a number of drawbacks compared to digital ones.
Could you advise me on recording, production, mixing and mastering, or on any other matter?
Yes, please feel free to send me a private message, and I’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have, free of charge, to help your song reach its full potential.
