I am a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher, traveler, and freelancer, specializing in the principles and practice of Iyengar Yoga.
My journey into Iyengar Yoga began at Swami Dayananda Ashram in Rishikesh, India, where I attended a residential yoga course conducted by my Guruji, Sri Nandakumar ji—a senior Iyengar Yoga teacher and direct disciple of Guruji B.K.S. Iyengar and the Iyengar family. This experience was transformative, as it not only introduced me to the depth of Iyengar Yoga but also immersed me in Satsang, Sanskrit, and Vedic chanting under the guidance of Swami Brahmavidyananda.

Jayasankar speaks English well and gives good instruction. He is professional and seems knowledgeable. What would have made this a 5 star would be him showing me the movements instead of just telling me what to do. I learn better by watching. Also, I was expecting pranayama kriyas and we did mostly...

Jay is very accommodating and has modifications for me since I have minor injuries. He keeps our yoga sessions interesting and challenging.
